Half-day workshop · Saturday 24 October 2026

AI is changing cloud attacks. See how, and where the jobs are.

A practical morning on AI and cloud security for engineers and managers: real use cases, one breach taken apart minute by minute, the roles companies are hiring for, then lunch with the trainers and other engineers.

10:00 am – 2:30 pm IST Brain O Vision, Hyderabad 40 seats Lunch included Certificate of participation

What the morning covers

Four hours, seven takeaways

01 · WHY IT MATTERS NOW

Attackers adopted AI first

AI makes phishing more convincing and reconnaissance faster, while companies are rushing AI apps onto the cloud with new keys, new data paths and new permissions. Most cloud incidents still start with a misconfiguration or a stolen identity, and AI raises the speed on both sides. We show what that means for the people who build and run cloud systems.

02 · USE CASES

AI for defenders

Alert triage and summaries in the SOC, drafting and testing detection rules, and phishing analysis, with a live lab demo.

03 · USE CASES

Securing AI on the cloud

Prompt injection and tool abuse, sensitive data leaking through prompts and logs, exposed model API keys and over-privileged AI service accounts.

04 · CASE STUDY

One breach, minute by minute

How a single misconfiguration turned into a data breach of about 100 million records, and where detection could have stopped it.

05 · CAREERS

Job options, honestly

Six security roles, what each one does day to day, the skills interviewers test, and the certifications that help.

06 · PEOPLE

Lunch and networking

Lunch with the trainers and engineers from Hyderabad's DevOps, cloud and security teams.

07 · TAKE HOME

Certificate and a plan

A certificate of participation, the slides, and a walkthrough of the full cohort with every enrolment option.

Agenda · Saturday 24 October

The schedule

Check-in and coffee

Why AI and cloud security matter now

How attacks have changed, what companies are worried about, and why DevOps and cloud engineers are being asked to own security.

Use cases, with a live lab demo

AI for defenders in the SOC; securing AI apps and pipelines on the cloud. Demos run against lab targets only.

Break

Case study: a cloud breach, minute by minute

The attack chain, the missed signals, and how AI-assisted detection changes the timeline.

Careers in cloud and AI security

Roles, skills, certifications and how people move into them from DevOps, SRE, sysadmin and network roles.

The full cohort and enrolment options

Labs, the industry-lab blocks at a reputed enterprise, schedule, fees, company sponsorship and your workshop credit. Open Q&A.

Case study

Capital One, 2019: one misconfiguration, 100 million records

In 2019 an attacker exploited a misconfigured web application firewall at a major US bank, obtained cloud credentials, and copied data on about 100 million people in the US and 6 million in Canada from cloud storage. It is one of the best-documented cloud breaches, which makes it ideal for learning.

Misconfigured WAF

A firewall in front of an application could be tricked into making requests on the attacker's behalf (server-side request forgery).

Stolen role credentials

Those requests reached the cloud metadata service and returned temporary credentials for the firewall's role.

Over-broad permissions

The role could list and read far more storage buckets than a firewall ever needs.

Data out, unnoticed

Data was copied out. The bank learned of it months later, from an outside tip.

In the workshop we replay the chain in a lab, then mark the four places where a control or a detection would have stopped it, and show how an AI-assisted analyst would have spotted the odd role activity sooner.

Job options

Six roles we will talk through

What the work is, and what interviewers test. We will not promise you a job or a salary; we will show you what it takes.

RoleThe workWhat interviewers test
Cloud Security EngineerSecures cloud accounts, identity, networks and dataIAM design, logging, fixing misconfigurations
DevSecOps EngineerBuilds security into CI/CD and infrastructure as codePipeline scanning, secrets handling, policy as code
SOC Analyst (L1 → L2)Triages alerts, investigates, escalates incidentsSIEM queries, alert reasoning, incident write-ups
Detection EngineerWrites, tests and tunes detection rulesSigma rules, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, false-positive tuning
AI Security EngineerSecures LLM apps, AI pipelines and model accessPrompt injection defences, data-leak controls, access design

Questions

Who is this for?

DevOps, SRE, cloud and platform engineers, sysadmins and network engineers thinking about security, and managers who want to understand where their team's security skills need to go. No security background needed.

Is the workshop fee refundable?

If we cancel or move the workshop, you get a full refund. Otherwise the fee is not refundable, but you can transfer your seat to a colleague by emailing us at least 48 hours before, and your ₹1,180 stays valid as a credit against the cohort fee until 31 October.

How does the credit work?

Enrol in the full cohort by 31 October 2026 using the same email as your workshop ticket. The ₹1,180 comes off your cohort total automatically at checkout. One credit per ticket; it cannot be exchanged for cash.

Do I need to bring a laptop?

It helps for the demos but is not required. Everything we show is also on the slides you take home.

Can my company pay?

Yes. Add the company name and GSTIN and the tax invoice is issued to your company.
